LeBron Calls Tim Duncan “Most Dominant” Player Of Last 15 Years
LeBron James and Tim Duncan will match up in the NBA Finals for the second time in six years. The respect level between the two is amazing, and during his media session for the finals, James called Duncan “the most consistent, most dominant player of the last 15 years,” according to CBSSports.com.
“Probably one of the best players to ever play the game of basketball,” he said of Duncan. “If I just look at the last 15 years, he’s probably been the most consistent, most dominant player that we’ve had as far as 15 years all together. He’s won four titles, multiple All Stars, MVP, and so on and so on.
“I think He doesn’t get a lot of recognition because he’s not flashy like a lot of guys are. He’s not jumping over people and high flying and doing the things that attracts people to the game. But I think true basketball, true IQ people, players know how great he is. What else can you say?”
I couldn’t agree more with LeBron. Duncan gets disrespected all the time because he’s not flashy. If he can knock off LeBron James and get his fifth ring, you have to consider him player of the generation. There has been a lot of great players the past 15 years, but only two come to mind as “most dominant” and that’s Kobe and Duncan. And only one of those guys is playing in the NBA Finals.
