Searching ‘Dwyane Wade’ On Twitter Brings Up Results For His New Nickname: The Word ‘Three’
Dwyane Wade has a history of stupid nicknames. He was known as “The Flash” for a while when former Heat teammate Shaquille O’Neal thought he reminded him of the comic book superhero. Earlier this year, Wade tried to name himself “WOW,” an abbreviation for “Way Of Wade,” which LeBron called corny.
After winning his third NBA championship ring this season, Wade made his way to a post-game press conference where he informed the reporters to call him “Three,” refusing to answer questions that were prefaced with his actual first name.
Wade’s latest terrible nickname has now been taken to the next level. Just as he doesn’t answer to “Dwyane Wade” and only answers to “Three,” so does Twitter. A reddit user on r/NBApointed out that a Twitter search for him name only shows results for the word “three.”
Here’s a screenshot of my search for the Heat star on Twitter this afternoon:
If you want to find out what Twitter users are saying about Wade, don’t bother. The real question is: Did Wade request this or is Twitter just messing with him? Does Twitter even mess with people? I’m confused.
