Jerry Jones Wants Playoffs to Include More Teams for Average Franchises

When your team goes 8-8 every year, I can understand wanting more playoff teams, so you can have a better chance of making the playoffs when you are average.

Jerry Jones doesn’t even hide the fact that is why he wants more teams.

“It just creates that much more excitement and that much more interest for people in those communities,” Jones said in an interview Friday with the team’s flagship radio station.

“The fact you can have a team that might have literally operated at .500 percent or in that area, who won half its ballgames, you can have that team win the Super Bowl,” Jones said. “That makes a big case for adding a couple more cities or communities that have NFL teams to the playoff mix.”

It’s like Al Davis never died.
