You Will Not Believe The Outcome Of Steph Curry’s Three-Point Contest With Marc Jackson
Playing a skins format, whereby Jackson and Curry got five shots to win each of three spots on the court, the 48-year-old Brooklyn native outshot the NBA’s three-point leader 3-2, 4-3, 2-1. The former Pacers’ guard actually ended up making his last nine shots, which is insane, especially considering his ugly motion and the fact that HE IS ALMOST 50 YEARS OLD.
For some perspective on Curry’s long-range ability this season, here are a few statistical anecdotes: His .416 average is good for 16th in the league, and just 2nd among players who average over 20 PPG (only Carmelo is better). At3.4 made threes per game, Curry averages substantially more than the number two guy on that list (Ryan Anderson, 3.0), but has a total of 193 on the year, which is 27 more than anyone else. With the exception of Damian Lillard, Curry has shot at least 100 more threes than anyone else in the league, despite not being in the top ten in accuracy.
