The HBS: Offseason Madness

by Asti

By: Mike Asti and George Gerbo

Revis

Think March is all about basketball? Well think again. There’s plenty of sports madness to go around. Mike ‘the Buzz-saw” Asti and George “the Howitzer” Gerbo cover it all, with an obvious appreciation for the asinine.

NFL: Green Bay Packers at Dallas Cowboys

It may be the offseason, but the NFL is still reigning supreme. Already major players have found new homes and the league has been turned upside down. Derrelle Revis is now a New England Patriot. I know that must be a tough pill to swallow, Jet fans. Demarcus Ware is now a Denver Bronco. Jet fans can curse their Revis to the Patriots sadness with their new toy of Eric Decker. Which free agent signing will have the biggest impact? Did any of the NFL worst improve themselves significantly? How much better are the Broncos, after all their offseason headlines? Do the Dallas Cowboys have any hope of ever returning to glory? Mike explains why Jerry Jones death might be necessary for a Super Bowl in Big D.

Wichita State

Despite the NFL taking over the sports news, March is known for its madness on the hardwood. What teams have earned a number one seed in the NCAA Tournament? Have any conference tournament upsets popped any bubbles? Does Whicita State’s schedule taint an unprecedented undefeated 34-0 record?

Ian Kinsler

Major League Baseball is even chalk full of heel and face turns. Barry Bonds is back in baseball. Can he repair his image? Ian Kinsler wants the Texas Raners to “lose their ass” and lose without him. The Howitzer and Buzz-saw wax poetic on just how hilarious Kinsler’s comments are.

Nothing can put the sports world to sleep, just like nothing can calm the Howitzer and Buzz-saw. The HBS has no offseason from conquering sports radio, one day, at a time….
