The HBS: #IBelieveThatItWillBeAsinine

WC

#IBelieveThatWeWillWin has become the new trend for team USA during the World Cup. Mike “the Buzz-saw” Asti and George “the Howitzer” Gerbo figured why not start a trend of their own.

#IBelieveThatItWillBeAsinine fits your favorite sports genius’ thoughts on the asinine spark for soccer in the US. Will the craze around futbol continue post World Cup? Why do non fans randomly decide to go nuts for a sport they otherwise don’t care about when in international competition? Can soccer ever increase to major sport level popularity in America (and we don’t mean South America)? Mike and George provide a rare double rant on this never ending debate. Oh, and what are USA’s legit chances, after getting through the “Group of Death?”

Wiggins

Never before has a draft seemed so much in the background. With another NBA offseason free agent frenzy, how will the NBA Draft impact teams and players looking to cash in? Andrew Wiggins was selected with the number one overall pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers. Does this send the signal their out of the hunt for LeBron? Or as Mike puts it, maturely realized they never had a shot in the first place? What’s the next domino to fall in LeBron and Carmelo Anthony’s fate?

Kershaw

Lincecum

No East Coast MLB bias, because the West is on center stage this season. Clayton Kershaw and Tim Lincecum joined some elite company. What do their no-hitters mean historically and for their teams the rest of the season? George waxes poetic on the miserable state of the Home Run Derby. Mike laughs in his face.

Here’s a hash-tag for ya: #HBSConquering. The Howitzer and Buzz-saw conquer sports radio, one day, at a time….
