The HBS: What’s The Correct Perception?

by Asti

By: Mike Asti and George Gerbo

We are officially in the best sports time of year. The NFL has started, college football is underway, and the Major League Baseball playoff picture is coming together. Mike “the Buzz-saw” Asti and George “the Howitzer” Gerbo cover all the asinine fun of the fall sports calendar.

Tony Romo

New York Giants v Dallas Cowboys

Dez Bryant

Through one week of NFL action, we’ve already seen major upsets and some intrigue. Despite a close win over the Giants, the Cowboys lost superstar receiver Dez Bryant. How much will not having Bryant hurt Dallas? Mike uses another 4th quarter comeback victory for Tony Romo to support why the narrative on the quarterback is completely wrong. Buffalo shocked the AFC favored Colts. St. Louis beat the Seahawks in overtime. Who is more likely to contend this season?

Tavon Austin Rams

Tied after week one, Mike and George look ahead to week two in the annual HBS NFL Pick’em Challenge.

McElwain Yelling At Taylor

Notre Dame

Over on the college ranks, Florida head coach Jim McElwain was caught giving Kelvin Taylor a tongue-lashing on the sidelines. Did McElwain go too far or is much being made about absolutely nothing? Can Notre Dame continue to fight for a birth in the college football playoff, even with all the key injuries?

New York Mets

As the MLB pennant races are closing and the landscape of the postseason shaping up, who are the MVP frontrunners? Can Yoenis Cespedes claim the NL Most Valuable Player Award over Bryce Harper with only half a season actually in the National League?

The Howitzer and Buzz-saw Show is EPICally asinine, while conquering sports radio, one day, at a time….
