Chris Johnson Will Smoke This Giant Cigar If The Titans Win The Super Bowl

The Tennessee Titans are a long way from reaching the Super Bowl, but that hasn’t stopped running back Chris Johnson from picking out his victory cigar in the small case that the team pulls off a miracle run next season.

“I’m smoking that if we win the Super Bowl the whole cigar,” Johnson wrote on Instagramthis week.

Now that’s something I would love to see. Johnson smoking that entire cigar? Dude would be passed out for a month if he tried that.

Would you look at the size of that thing? That’s not a cigar man, that’s a shillelagh. Yoenis Cespedes swings a bat smaller than that. You could probably crack a skull open with that blunt.

Shoot man, I’m not much of a Titans fan, but if them winning the Super Bowl means we get to watch CJ1K try to smoke that entire thing, I’m in. Heck, I’d even go pay-per-view of the postgame show to watch that smoke session.

Someone Actually Camped Out For Tennessee Titans Tickets

The Tennessee Titans are not as good as they once were. Fans still show up for games and do a great job of supporting the team, but I doubt tickets are all that difficult to come by. In fact, tickets for most Titans games on StubHub start at around $25 at the moment, which is not all that steep for an NFL game. That doesn’t stop David Cline from going all-out to make sure he scores a seat.

There are really no words to describe Cline, who appears to be the only fan who still camps out in front of the Titans’ ticket office in anticipation of single-game tickets going on sale. On Friday morning, WKRN-TV’s Stephanie Langston woke Cline up for one of the most fantastic interviews you will ever see.

“I don’t have a credit card,” Cline replied when Langston asked if he has ever heard of the internet.

Again, no words can do the conversation justice. You just have to watch it. Never change, David Cline. Never change.

The HBS: Big “9” Just Doesn’t Have The Same Ring To It (Includes NCAA Football Preview)

By: Mike Asti and George Gerbo

Tonight marks the start of the college football season, and it couldn’t come any sooner. Under the cloud of multiple schools violating NCAA rules and facing sanctions, games kickoff tonight, but not without one more wrinkle to end the offseason. Texas A&M has announed their intention to leave the Big 12 conference, following this season. Mike and George examine this decision and the potential greater ramafications it will have on the Big “9”, after Colorado and Nebraska packed up last year, and the rest of the country. Also, the guys will give their picks for this year’s BCS games and National Championship.

In the back half of the show, the Howitzer and Buzz-saw wrap up the NFL preseason with thoughts on Michael Vick’s new contract in Philadelphia, Chris Johnson’s new deal in Tennessee, and Houston RB Arian Foster using Twitter to reveal details about his hamstring injury. Expect to see Mr. Foster taking a seat with the Buzz-saw at the end of the program. And, in a bit of MLB news, we’ll talk about Stephen Strasburg, who is scheduled to make his 1st ML start since last season’s Tommy John surgery, and discuss whether or not the Nationals are making a mistake by having him pitch this season.

We won’t ever pack up and leave for another conference without letting you know first. It’s The Howitzer and Buzz-saw Show. Conquering sports radio, one day at a time….

The HBS: The FREAKS Come Out At Night

By: Mike Asti and George Gerbo

(Courtesy: Bleacher Report)

The world of sports has been nothing short of armageddon recently. A man nicknamed the freak called it a career, the future of some NFL and MLB franchises changed for the foreseeable future, and two legends continue to vie for membership to the asinine club. The end of the NFL Lockout sparked one of the craziest periods in history. If you blinked you probably missed a big name changing teams. Hell, even the Howitzer and Buzz-saw are not even sure if they’re all caught up yet. Chad Ochocinco and Albert Haynesworth bring their acts to New England. Plaxico Burress returns to New York with the Jets. Donovan McNabb looks to rejuvenate his career in Minnesota. And Nnamdi Asomugha joins an All-Star team in Philadelphia. These are just some of the moves that have changed the landscape of the NFL, both on and off the field. Over in MLB, the trade deadline has come and gone. How have the major trades affected the pennant races? Who is still in the hunt for October? Who needs to press the panic button? All these questions, as well as several others, will be answered. Arguably the best individual athlete ever is in the midst of another freak out session of his own. Tiger Wodds has fired his long time friend and caddy. Will this new drama help or hurt Woods, as he attempts yet another comeback to the sport he loves? All this and so much more.
